Happy Monday Happy Mom!

How 'bout those Eagles? You're either still celebrating today, or talking about how that touchdown shouldn't have counted, or maybe you just don't care? Nevertheless, I hope you all had a wonderful week and a great Super Bowl weekend!
Last week I was able to have two date nights with my honey, one Mom's Night Out, a breakfast date with my older son, and a movie date with my baby girl. My mom has been living with me for a week now so I've had quality time with her. I've also been extremely busy with team mom duties and youth group activities. But no matter how busy I get, I will always put a priority on my Mommy Care Checklist. I managed to squeeze in a mani/pedi too. That really helped me in a moment of feeling overwhelmed with various obligations. It helps so much to take some time for myself so that I can be the positive mommy that my family deserves.
So we're a week away from Valentine's Day and statistics show that a third of people who made New Years Goals have already traded in those resolutions for a big box of chocolates. Let's talk about those goals you were focused on last week. Did you sit down and make a plan? I find that it's necessary to schedule time into my planner and calendar for goal reflection. Also, I assign each goal a priority number and give more time to my number 1 priority. I glance at my Goal Poster every day and I really intently study it once a week. It helps that I have it up in my closet so whenever I'm getting clothes out I can see it. Also, my youngest daughter often glances at my Goal Poster and reminds me of certain goals, especially the ones that involve her. If you weren't able to make your goals a priority last week, it's ok, start today. I love Mondays because I feel like it's a new chance to take charge of my life. Sundays I take an hour to plan, schedule, and prepare for the new week and Mondays I get to initiate the plan.
Let me give you an assignment for this week: take one hour for yourself. Do something you've been meaning to do, but haven't gotten around to. Take that yoga class you've wanted to try. Make that doctor's appointment you keep putting off. Go for a hike. Call your old friend you haven't talked to in a while. Get a massage or mani/pedi. Please share what you chose to do for YOU on the Happy Moms Facebook page.
I hope you all have the best week ever. Put priority on yourself. Make time! Get Happy! You are worth it!!!
