Happy Monday Happy Mom!

      It's President's Day here in the United States and for most of us, it's a holiday from work and school. I'm writing this newsletter a little late because I chose to focus on family time last night and this morning I went to the gym, cleaned house, and took care of important paperwork. 
      Last night my youngest child pleaded with us to play Monopoly. My husband and I obliged her. In our family, we don't use the play money. Instead, we each get a notepad and do the math. It was a fun 4-hour game! We then watched a movie on tv. What a late night!
      If you missed my Facebook live, I talked about how last week was crazy due to two days of wrestling state championships and the end of season banquet. My team mom duties are almost over for this season. We just need to close up the finances for the season. It was overwhelming at times, but I had a great co-team mom. I just wish my son wasn't injured. He was amazing though. My son attended all the tournaments to support his teammates. I know it was even more difficult for him being injured than it was for me. 
      Have I mentioned I have the world's best husband? He obliged me and took me to one of my favorite places to eat on Valentine's Day. It's this hole in the wall place called Kyung Seafood. They make the best seafood pancake, Korean bbq ribs, and poke (raw fish). He also helped me with all my team mom duties Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. He lugged tents, coolers with ice and drinks, tables, chairs, and food around. I really could not have done it without him.
      We've been experiencing flooding and thunderstorms for the past few days here in Hawaii. My daughter in Pennsylvania had a rain and hail storm and my daughter in Utah is currently in a snowstorm. I'm grateful for family members that both my girls can lean on. 
      As far as my Mommy Care Checklist, last week I was able to have a date night on Valentine's Day, get my hair done and lashes done. My friend is a new lash artist and needed a model to practice on so I happily obliged.
      I'm off to watch Black Panther now with my family. My older girls already saw it and said it's one of the best movies ever. We are all really excited to watch it.

My mom is getting stronger each day. Kason played paintball for the first time and came home with welts all over his body!

SUNDAY: Roast Pork, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Carrots
