Happy Monday Happy Mom!
      I am doing the Happy Dance right now! Why? It's Spring Break!!! I'm so excited to spend time with my children and not worry about homework or tests or bedtime. My older son has two weeks off and since I'm a teacher at his school, so do I! My younger son has two more half days of school today and tomorrow, and my daughter has a week and a half off. So what are our Spring Break plans?
      Well, we are starting by celebrating my son's 16th birthday today. I got to sleep in until 7:00 am and attend a later Bootcamp class after dropping my son at school. The birthday boy is at driver's ed class, my daughter is doing laundry, and my husband is cleaning out the fridge. I told my daughter I needed today to do business and tomorrow we can have a beach day. We are hoping for sunny days ahead. We plan to go to the west side, east side, and north shore for some beach days. And of course, beach in town since it's near home. We also have some board game nights planned. We'll probably see a movie too. Oh and most-likely a Star Wars or Star Trek marathon. Also, it wouldn't be Spring Break without spring cleaning. A couple weeks ago I started reading "the life-changing magic of tidying up" again so I'm in a decluttering mood. My husband will be so happy that I'm getting rid of a lot of stuff. If it's in good condition, I sell it on Facebook marketplace. If not, I take it to the donation bin at my daughter's school. 
      A big part of Spring Break for my family will be looking at our Goal Posters, sharing and learning about habits, and working together on Mindset. I am going to make sure all my children come up with their own daily affirmations and we will all work on saying them out loud to ourselves every morning.
      Also, if you are part of my Happy Moms Facebook Community, then you know about the 'No more foolin' around' weight loss challenge. For the entire Spring Break, we will be eating clean and taking charge of our health. A year ago I was in the best shape I had been in in years. But, unfortunately, I left my health goal by the wayside and have gained weight over the year. If you're not in a happy place concerning your health, please join me in the challenge. Weigh yourself today, then on Sunday, and finally on April 1st (April Fool's Day). I have a grocery list and daily menu posted on my Happy Moms Facebook page. It's a very limited variety of foods, so it's very simple to follow. And in two weeks I promise you will feel better and confident about continuing this healthy lifestyle. For us moms, confidence goes a long way. Our children are always watching us. I want to set a good example for my children of valuing myself. I want to feel happy and confident about my body. I have been there. Last year I lost 30 pounds in 8 weeks and felt amazing. I know exactly what to eat and what to do to lose weight and feel great. Will you join me in this weight loss/get healthy kick-start challenge? We can say we had the best Spring Break ever...together.
      This week I challenge you to write out an affirmation statement. Then say it out loud every morning.

MONDAY: BBQ ribs, steak, hamburger, veggies, and green salad
TUESDAY: Corned Beef, Cabbage (we ate out last Saturday since my MIL was in town)
WEDNESDAY: Large Spinach Salad with Boiled eggs (and panko chicken for the kids)
THURSDAY: Chopped Turkey Burger with Spaghetti Squash, Tomato Sauce, Steamed Broccoli
FRIDAY: Baked Salmon with leftover Spaghetti Squash, Broccoli
SATURDAY: Shoyu Chicken, Rice, Corn, Green Salad
SUNDAY: Grilled Pork Chops, Steamed Asparagus

What's happening in my home? 
It's Spring Break! Lot's of fun family time coming up. Kaylen is also on Spring Break and is enjoying a road trip with friends through Vegas, California, and Arizona. Kyla is back at school after spending her Spring Break in New Jersey and New York. We are all hoping for sunny days ahead.
