Happy Monday Happy Mom!

Did I mention I love Mondays? I know what you're thinking...no way!? The reason I love Mondays is that every week I get to start anew on my goals and put the previous week behind me, take lessons with me, and move forward. If I didn't make it to the gym 5 days last week, then I resolve today to do better. Or maybe it's because I'm secretly obsessed with planning.  I remember as a child I'd plan my outfits out for the entire week, sometimes for the month. Ironically, my youngest daughter does the same now without me encouraging her to. On Sundays, I plan out my entire week, including work schedule, workout schedule, spending, personal care, dinner menu, kids' activities, and any other special events. Then Monday I get to put my plan into action.
I feel a sense of accomplishment when I get things done. This morning I made it to my 5:45 gym session and I felt so good. See that's why Mondays are so great! Most time I succeed at my goals on Monday.
As a mom, you must know that things don't always go as planned. Last week I only made it to the gym three times. I also only stuck to my menu four days. I also didn't stick to my budget because things came up with the kids that weren't in the plans.
But that's okay. We just have to pick ourselves up and do the best we can.
I find that it helps to look forward to each day and find the positive in things. For example, last week there was a wrestling championship tournament on a school day. Since I'm one of the team moms, I set up the snacks and drinks for our team. At first, I thought "oh no how do I squeeze this into my day?" But then I thought about how great it is that I work at my son's school and that I have a lunch break during which I can run down to the gym and set up the coolers and snacks for the wrestlers. Also, how great it is that I live so close to my job so that I can run home and check on my mom during my lunch break.
I feel that making a plan is very important. But also remembering that sometimes things don't go as planned. When life brings you surprises, it helps to be positive and look on the bright side of things.

Please share what your favorite day of the week is and why on the Happy Moms Facebook page. Also, please share any planning suggestions or comments.
I hope you all have the best week ever. Put priority on your action plan. Make time! Get Happy! You are worth it!!!
