Why is Physical Activity at the top of my Mommy Care Checklist?

Physical activity gives off endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Along with being a pleasant and happy person, being physically active has many health benefits.
Regular physical activity helps to fight against diabetes, high blood pressure, and certain types of cancer.

No matter what your level of physical activity, I want you to DO SOMETHING TODAY!

I know what you're thinking...
"I'm too busy, I'm out of shape, I don't know where to start..."

  1. Start with 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening. Take a walk or swim if that's your thing, bike or hike, dance around in your living room, anything that gets you moving!

  2. Take your kids to the park and actually play with them instead of sitting on the bench surfing social media on your phone.

  3. Enlist your spouse, teen child, or girlfriends to try a free class in your neighborhood.

  4. Squeeze this short and fun Name Workout in on your lunch break or while waiting for your child at practice or before going out to eat:)

Trust me, if you currently do not make time for physical activity, I know exactly where you're coming from. I have been through periods of time where I just did not do anything active. At those times, I was rushing around driving the kids here and there before and after work, trying to muster up energy to cook dinner and give my family attention. I felt tired and emotionally drained all the time. And I've also been through committing to daily workouts, training for a specific race, and even knocking a marathon off my bucket list. One thing is certain, I feel way better when I am getting in regular physical activity. Those endorphins really do trigger positive feelings. 

This week I want you to focus on YOU. Get Active! Get Happy! You are worth it!!!
